Gippsland Critical Minerals (GCM) has launched a new website and virtual office to make it easier for East Gippslanders to access clear, reliable information about the Fingerboards Project.

The new website, gippslandcriticalminerals.com, has been designed for simplicity, transparency and ease of use. It brings together key project details, community engagement updates and interactive tools in one central location.

The Virtual Office provides an interactive way to explore the project online, allowing users to navigate fact sheets and maps from any device. It reflects GCM’s goal of making technical and planning information more accessible to people across the region.

Detailed study scopes will soon be published on the new site, outlining what is being assessed and allowing progress to be followed as results are released. Led by independent experts including AECOM, the studies provide another important community resource of verified project information.

Key project documents are also now available online, including GCM’s Community Engagement Plan, Early Benefits Sharing Plan and 2025 Annual Report. Further materials will be released as the project progresses, demonstrating GCM’s ongoing commitment to transparency.

GCM’s East Gippsland Community and Stakeholder Lead, Mick Harrington, said the new platform was about making project information easy to find and simple to understand.

“We know people want direct access to facts, not filtered opinions. The website and Virtual Office give everyone the opportunity to see exactly what’s planned, what’s being studied and how we’re tracking against our commitments.”

“Whether you’re looking for community updates, environmental information or future job opportunities, this is now the best place to start. It’s about giving people access, not spin.”

The site will continue to evolve with new features, including monitoring data, job and procurement listings, project milestones and visual materials such as maps and virtual tours. These updates will give the community a central place to access clear, verified information on the Fingerboards Project.

“We’re continuing to invest in better ways to share information,” Mr Harrington said. “The Virtual Office is another way we’re opening up access, and we’ll keep improving it based on community feedback.”

Providing the community with direct access to studies, data and project information, along with a clear view of progress at every stage, is another way GCM is delivering on its core community engagement values of respect, transparency, accessibility and accountability.
