Gippsland Critical Minerals (GCM) held its first community webinar for 2026 on Thursday 5 February. The session covered where the project is up to, what work is happening on the ground with local businesses involved in the demonstration pit, progress on technical studies, the establishment of community working groups, and a Q&A

The webinar included presentations from:

·      Michelle Wood – Chief Executive Officer
·      Loretta Fallaw – Project Lead (Environment)
·      Stefan Wolmarans – Project Director (Technical)
·      Mick Harrington – East Gippsland Community & Stakeholder Lead

During the Q&A, we heard that people want more direct access to the Community Reference Group (CRG). To make this easier, GCM has set up a dedicated CRG email that is monitored by the CRG Chair: crg@gippslandcriticalminerals.com

That means you can now raise matters directly with CRG members, which they can then bring forward for discussion at CRG meetings with GCM.
